It was over, and Cally knew it. She'd barely slept the past two days, Nicky clutched tightly in her arms. She no longer felt safe, she no longer felt like she'd escaped

"Do I have to bribe you with bacon?" Cally said, only a hint of mirth. "I could probably do that. But no, this isn't about anything you may or may not have eaten."
"I need to move," Cally said. "Not, like, in the traditional sense of asking you to help load a couch into a truck or anything, but... can you take me somewhere? Somewhere safe and never tell anyone where it is?"
It was about the only way she could think of, to never be found again.
"I wish," Cally said. She'd never listened to what Galen had to say, so she was still under the impression that even killing him wouldn't be the end of things. He could just resurrect and come back again and again.
"He's... it wouldn't work. He'd just come back. I just need to go somewhere he can never find me." She sighed, the whole thing weighing heavily on her. "Somewhere he'll never find Nicky."
"Well, sure," Bel said, frowning at the phone. "I mean, there's places like Minnesota and Iowa where nobody'll find you if you don't want them to. Or do you want out of the country?"
He wasn't so mean as to suggest Utah or Montana. Or evil Alaska.
"Iowa?" Cally said, never having heard of the place. "I guess that'll work fine. He's not from the planet so... it'll work just fine. It's as good of a chance as any."
"I know," Cally said. "But... hopefully they'll forgive me for putting Nicky's safety first, you know?"
Her voice quavered a bit. Leaving the Galactica behind was a lot easier than this. Which was why she'd not tried to talk to Phoebe or Piper about it before she did it. "I wish there was a better way."
"Good," Bel said, already going over in his head what cash he had on hand to slip into Cally's pocket as well to make sure she had enough to keep on her feet.
"So when is this going down?" he said. "When do you need me?"
"I'm all packed," Cally admitted. "So... whenever you're ready. Probably before Piper or someone reads their e-mail and tries to stop me. And before my employers find out I just embezzled some of the rent money."

He'd rather punch someone, you see.

It hurt to say it, but she knew it was true.

Didn't matter what her answer was; he totally would anyway if he could.

She had few qualms about that.
