Plastics Made with Plants
After reading about the Odwalla bottles that are made with plastics made from sugar cane, I decided to read up a little on plastics made from plants.
I found this article on USA Today that talks about it a little bit. It's really interesting and it seems that this type of plastic is a MUCH better alternative to regular petroleum based plastic. It isn't perfect because there are still some drawbacks, but they seem a lot better than petroleum based. Hopefully after some more research they can create a plastic that is even better for the environment!
