The south won and slavery still exists...

Last night Kyle, Kristen, Heidi and I stayed up watching Sixteen Candles. The rest of the night we ended up talking until 2 in the morning even though I had a math quiz in the morning. Kristen has been around death a lot. She's from Littleton* Colorado, here high school Chatfield is right next to Columbine. Her friends all lost people to that tragedy. Her friend's dad was also the pilot who died in the pennsylvania crash of 9/11. Heidi lost her grandma on 9/11 too. Kristen and I almost started crying. It was weird; we all talked about people who died. Kyle said a girl from his school died because a tractor fell on top of her and she drowned in a puddle of water. I talked about how our prom kings died.

To lighten up the mood, one girl said, "Who won the civil war? I have a doubt in the back of my head that the North didn't win, The south won, right." OMG LMFAO, it was the most hilarious thing I've ever heard. I'm not saying I'm smart, but a college student asking who won the civil war, one of the most important wars in our history! Classic line... I'll never forget it.
