Jax's Room: Sunday evening

Dec 28, 2008 21:42

After puzzling with David and having a nice dinner of Tim's new special macaroni and cheese, Lana made her way back up to the sixth floor. She'd be lying if she said she hadn't been thinking about this all evening, though she'd tried not to let the guys see how distracted she was during dinner.

She hesitated at his door once more than knocked

"It's open," Jax called, lounging on the couch in just a pair of jeans. Belatedly, he hoped it was Lana and not Gibbs come to shoot his nuts off or some shit like that.

She came in quietly, closing the door behind her, then made her way over to lean against the wall. "Hey," she said with a smile. "Expecting someone?"

His grin was big. "Yep. You." And he looked her over openly. "How was your puzzle?"

She blushed under his gaze. "It was good. David's such a sweetheart."

Sweetheart? Oookay. "He's an... interesting kid." To say the least.

"Yeah," Lana said quietly. "He's been through a lot. And he's different, which makes it hard for him. I love him though. He fills part of this empty space inside me."

Aww. Jax can't argue that, remembering all too well how it felt to hold Abel outside the toaster. He cants his chin up. "C'mere."

She gave him a slow smile and crossed the room to curl up beside him. "So, how was your day?"

"Eh." He shrugs, arm around her shoulder. "Quiet, I guess? Boring, more like. No mac and cheese parties for me," he teased.

"I'll make you dinner if you want," she offered, resting her head on his shoulder. "I'm a pretty decent cook. And you can't live on whiskey and cookies forever.""

"You offering to cook for me?" Yeah, Jax was grinning. "I won't turn that down. Though not sure what was wrong with whiskey and cookies," he joked.

"I can if you want. Even mac and cheese," she said teasingly. "You want me to bring stuff over here to cook or you want to come over to my room?"

"What now?" Well, shit. Jax couldn't stop grinning. "You wanna be in your bed later, or mine?" Cuz, yeah, couldn't forget that part of the plan.

"If you want," Lana said, smiling at his grin. "Wouldn't take long to whip something up. And, I guess either is fine with me."

Yeah, there wasn't much point in pretending she didn't know where this was going. Or that she wasn't eager to be with him again.

Sweet. Cooking and sex. Hand wrapping around the back of her neck, Jax pulled her close and kissed her. "Thanks."

She smiled against his lips. "No problem. Really."
