Denise Ho's Yahoo BlogComments: Rejoice Denise Ho's back again this year with a brand spanking new album titled What Really Matters. These past few years Denise has pumped out some outstanding albums (Our Time Has Come, Butterfly Lovers and Glamorous) so how does this new album stack up? First song off the ranks is this energetic little number, also her first plug which hit the airwaves sometime mid last month. It's an upbeat pop number but knowing Denise it's nothing like those mediocre energetic pop songs from them idol fluffs, this is deep and has character. Definitely give this one a try.

Denise Ho's Yahoo BlogComments: Teaming up with Khalil Fong here, the second track from What Really Matters is a smooth cool rnb flavoured pop track (no surprise when you're working with Khalil). I love this track, Denise's deep rich vocals really work here and are the main attraction, not being overshadowed by the accompanying beats and sounds which are kept at a minimal. This I reckon is a winner, also shows that Denise can do a variety of styles, here's to hoping we here more like this from Denise in the future.

Denise Ho's Yahoo BlogComments: Again something different, this mid tempo pop offering is quite haunting and atmospheric with the strange and odd electronic noise, whistling and various other quirky sounds. That and the high pitched synthesized vocals add to the whole feel. And who can we thank for this? None other than the awesome Veegay from Anthony Wong's people mountain people sea crew. Denise has worked with people mountain people sea many times before so it's no surprise they've teamed up again for a handful of tracks here.

Denise Ho's Yahoo BlogComments: Finally ballad time, this is her current plug. Don't act surprised we all know that Denise's ballads really shine. Once more teaming up outstanding lyricist Wyman Wong, who's providing Denise with some absolutely outstanding lyrics in the past. The thing that I love about Denise is her voice, I love that deep voice and it really shines when she does ballads. This is a typical Denise sounding ballad but it's very enjoyable, maybe not quite as good as the ones from Our Time Has Come or Butterfly Lovers but it's a step above the usual junk that hits the charts. What Really Matters is another fantastic offering from Denise, not sure if I like this more than the previous two albums but it's definitely one of the better albums to come out this year. Denise fans will not be disappointed.

people mountain people seaComments: Mentioned Anthony Wong's people mountain people sea above so with that I thought some more Anthony Wong is needed. HKPO VS Anthony Wong Live: Bauhinian Rhapsody is one of my favourite concerts, I mean Anthony Wong with an orchestra backing him is just, well you can't get any better then that can you? So I'm sure this title will be familiar to the older ones, so Anthony takes a stab at this classic. I love it, Anthony (and the orchestra and the backup singers) does a great job making this sound epic. Fans of the original will definitely like what Anthony has done with this.

people mountain people seaComments: This is the title song from Anthony Wong's Tomorrow's Song album from three years back. The song has an unmistakable classic pop feel to it but with a new fresh edge that only Anthony Wong (and people mountain people sea) can do. Like with many other Anthony Wong ballads, it's quite ghostly and with the accompanying strings from the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, it adds an even edgier feel to it. I never get sick of listening or watching this concert, it's definitely a must for any Anthony Wong fans if they don't already have it

DOWNLOAD RAMBLINGS
So Denise for this week, Leo for the next and then it's one hundred. So for one hundred I need to ask a question, I'll probably upload a handful of albums but if that's so I don't feel like doing two download links for each one, so I think I might just opt for one download link per album. Now which service do you prefer or usually use when you download from here? Sendspace or Mediafire? And that's it for this weeks ramblings, sorry nothing exciting happening in the music scene lately.
