So, for those of you who didn't know yet, I am a Rock Band Junkie. At least that is when I'm taking a break from having O/D's on having to do the endless set list (on medium, I'm not that good) twice because my friends console crashed when we were on the 49th song.
But that was a couple of months ago, so now I'm back on/off the wagon depending on your POV.
In any event, being the fan that I am, I decide that I wanted a Wireless Guitar, because what else is there to buy at Circuit City with a gift card?
Which bring us to the morale of this tale, never let defective gear and/or warranties get in your way. Because I, like many others had a guitar that suffered from the "what's overdrive?" syndrome.
So, after numerous seconds scouring the web for quick and easy solutions, I find a step by step guide on "how to fix your your busted/never worked wired/wireless guitar" without using solder.
Well, about 5 million screws later (there are about 10 more screws than might really be needed to hold the darn guitar together) I follow the guide and lo and behold....it still doesn't work.
Yeah, so now with an 'out of warranty b/c I opened it' guitar. I search for plan B.
Behold my savior who deserves all the credit for bringing/returning the joy of -tilt to overdrive like you're supposed to- back to the game.
And here is the link to share for all others suffering from the same dilemma who would rather have a real fix versus rolling the dice that you'll get another guitar containing the same busted, good for nothing sensors that ship with the thing stock.
http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5132 Which reminds me, anyone in the area who is either looking for more people to play with, or have not yet experienced the joy of drinking while pretending you're a lot more (musically) talented than you really are, let me know. It would be preferable if you already had the game, or at least your own Xbox 360 as toting all of the instruments around along with a console is a real drag. I have 2 guitars and the mic and drums.
I'll even sing if given enough CH3-CH2-OH. (The #'s are supposed to be subscript, but I'm too lazy to figure out how to do it.) I can even passably sing and strum at the same time for most of the songs.
Blather, blather....
