Singletini: 1 part genius, 3 parts sex kitten, 2 parts wild child..shaken not stirred.
It's another highly eventful day in the life of a Singletini(yes I borrowed the name from a book but oh well)....I got up REALLY early for a saturday morning(8:15am) and drove over to my church building where all of the guys were washing all of the ladies' cars....YES! I sprayed my car down last nite w/water and threw sand all over it to make it extra dirty....MWUAHAHAHA!!! The thing is, I really didn't need to; the inside of my car was plenty dirty! They vacuumed and threw out ALL of my junk in there: there was stuff in that car from before I WAS DRIVING IT!!!!! The real kicker was they found a pair of keys that totally don't belong to me or anyone I know and they have a SHAW'S rewards card on them(a supermarket in NH) so hmmmm what was I doing on the nite of.......hahahahaha!
I spent the rest of the day cleaning the church building and hanging out with friends until it was time for me to get ready for my bellydance performance, which I had only learned about the nite before! It was for the MS Walk For Life @ UCF and I had alot of fun!!! I really enjoyed being the only Shimmy Knighter dancing..and Patricia, my lovely prez, showed up for support and took funny pics of me during the intro lesson I gave @ the end of the show....HAHAHAHAHA!
I realized tonite that being a Singletini isn't as bad as some people make it out to be: I came home to a very quiet apt(thank you!) and fixed a wicked yummy meal just for me(no sharing) and watched Grey's Anatomy Season 2 all by myself, w/o having to explain anything or engage in conversation or hear whining about what's going on w/the game(insert fave sport here!). I got done 2 loads of laundry, cleaned up the entire kitchen, and got to really relax and enjoy the quiet that comes from being alone on a saturday night.
There are pros and cons to being alone, just like there are pros and cons to being in a relationship; for now...I think I'm just gonna focus/enjoy the pros of being a Singletini and let the rest of the world cry and whine about their sad lives cuz I do not care anymore!!!! To hell w/stereotypes and expectations!!!!!
