pomegranate martinis, or why i want to be rich

Apr 09, 2006 00:28

party in honor of my gma tonight. can only be described as fah-byuu-luss. so many people and so much love and wonderful flowing of free alcohol and delicious foods. i want all that love and stuff in my life when i'm grandma's ripe old age. i also want the connections she has. gma doesn't flaunt her money. but hot damn can her friends/former students throw a party.

when i die, please have a funeral party with champagne toasts and chocolate mousses, and oh yes kosher meals for the jews (the practicing ones) in my famfam. i'll leave part of the money, i guess, but it would be nice if my friends were just filthy rich and such and knew how to send me up in style.

also, i spent a disgusting amount of money on a haircut. am i turning into a consumer whore whom i would normally highly disapprove of? i mean no, i guess not. i just like the trimmings. there delicious and silky. but i'm prepared for five humble years as an english teacher, and maybs if i'm as good as gma, those little education investments into young minds will pay off, barring of course the impending collapse of our nation/economy. then i guess i'll have to move to france or other parts of the european union. and barring that, well. i'll always have morocco.
