Oh man...

So the past 24 hours have been harrowing. I was trying to get back to Boston from Detroit.

I was supposed to get home last night at 6:45. I finally arrived home, at 11:15 am today. After getting on the only flight to leave Detroit for Boston yesterday, we took off an hour late, got within less than 100 miles of Logan and we circled for an hour and had to return to Detroit, getting in at about 9pm. Logan had shut down all its runways in the span of time we were airborne. I was booked onto the same flight out this morning, at 7am, which means I was up at 4:45 this morning. We boarded at 6:20am and did not take off until 8--they had unloaded all the bags last night even though it was all the same people and the same plane today--they didn't start loading them back on until 7am, when we were scheduled to depart. Waaah.

We landed at 9:17am (very bumpily) and didn't have a gate to go to. 25 minutes later they had a gate for us. At the gate, after about 25 minutes, they told us the wheel of the jetway was frozen and they couldn't pull it up to the plane, so we would need to switch gates. At 10:25 I got off the plane at the airport. Between last night and today, Joey spent 3 hrs waiting for me at Logan. He missed his class this morning due to the delay once we were on the ground at the airport.

You'd think flying almost all the way to Boston last night, only to turn around would've been worse than today, but today was much more aggravating. The pilot even sounded on the verge.

BUT HEY! I got a coupon for $25 off my next flight with Northwest. hooray. Northworst.

(And but hey, my trip was good, and very long. I played governess at my sister's all week.)
