Victoria Update

So, it looks like my chances of getting housing at UVic are not very high. Because I am technically not a first year student, it looks less and less likely that I'll be given priority of housing over first-years. In order to make sure I don't get trapped in Victoria without a house, I may be going to Victoria in late July rather than late August. This is convenient for me in several ways, it means that I can turn in my visa earlier, it means that I can get settled into Victoria quicker and adjust to the climate before classes begin(When I first came to Missoula, I was miserable for weeks because I wasn't used to the high altitude and the dry air, so I was a flaky, dried up mess, and I'll have to "decompress" living at sea level again) and it means that I can get the necessary paperwork so that I can get a SIN number and therefore get a Work Study job and, if that's not enough money to pay my way, an off-campus job. I'm still kind of hoping that I do get housing, but honestly, I would rather live off-campus with _corvex_ , because I love him dearly, and he would make much better company than some 18 year old stranger from God knows where.
I would be lying if I said I was not getting nervous. Everything is so new, so exciting, but there's also the realization that I've never done this all before. I guess that's what life's all about post-21.
