I'm sick :(
After a long work week, not much sleep, and a long day yesterday with school and administering shots to a pig to jumpstart his appetite (he needs to meet the minimum weight for the fair in two weeks or he won't be able to be sold in the auction!), I started violently coughing yesterday afternoon. My coughing turned into a fever and even more fatigue, so I called all my goat kids and cancelled showmanship for this morning...there was no way.
Took some medicine, but still couldn't get to sleep until about 1:30am last night, only to wake up at 6:30am this morning to more coughing. My throat was constricted this morning, but once I got up and started gettin' liquid down my throat, I'm feeling a little better and coughing a little less...so yay! I have no appointments this weekend, though, and all the parents told me to relax and take it easy...and to get people to bring me soup n' stuff. I won't be surprised if the parent who brought me roses and donuts for my birthday shows up at my door with soup ;).
So, yeah, trying to nip this in the bud by relaxing this weekend. I'm just going to grade some papers and hang out. I can't afford to be sick right now with fair being so close, and I REALLY can't be sick at fair...yeck. I HATE being sick.
Any remedy suggestions for the coughing and congested? ;)
