Damn when did I post last
So I've been working at my new job, uh, I think this is my fourth week? It's at a fulfillment center for quick shipping, for a large company with branches. I honestly don't know how much information I should relinquish on this account anymore.
I've had an esophageal infection (I think it's on the lower sphincter) since Friday the 21st, it's bullshit. Really painful to swallow, and I had a fever on and off the first five days or so, and I worked through it. I hid in the toilet several times a day last week :( Why'd I say toilet? That's such a British thing to say. Bathroom. Anyway my strength is back and the pain's almost completely gone (drinking water without discomfort is almost a reality again yaaaay) so I'm fully capable of not getting exhausted at work. That's cool. Work's nice I guess? The bus system has screwed me over a couple times and I'm trying to avoid accruing "points" in their attendance system - they take 90 days to roll over, six is "fired", and I'm going to be at 5 points after a trip I take uh, next week, technically? That's exciting! Anyway I have approved time off (ATO) accumulated by that point but it won't cover everything so I guess I'll just be really careful?
I got a half point last week because of the bus. Also last week I fucking jogged about 2.2 miles from downtown to work in about half an hour, that sucked ass. I was still tardy technically by four minutes so I just lied to HR, said I jogged there from downtown and forgot to punch, gave an earlier time for her to input in the system. Ha-HA! Social engineering. I guess. Work's nice I think. Physical, but I think I've gotten used to it by now, and it's super easy.
The trip I'm taking is to see FIF! Yay. Our relationship is... nuanced? Because of feelings of jealousy I get, and she bones her friend, but doesn't feel that much for him, and we don't owe each other anything, and I think her new-relationship-energy has worn off since January so she's basically where I was at immediately after our meeting (I probably got the NRE when I obsessed over her living in Nevada). Anyway it's planned for the 10th, I'll get off work and take some miserable planes and get there at like 11am in her state. Lol. Gross. But we get to hang out and do weird sexual things for a whole week! I'm looking forward to it. Not sure how emotions will play into things once we're all getting forlorn towards the end.
I think that's all that's on my mind at the moment. There's some side stuff like uh, the PAX Prime Smash Bros tournament finished, mew2king won, yay, return of the king, go to a doctor, etc. Mainly just anticipating lack of throat pain.
