summary: 2 old friends meeting...
notes: I wanted to write a YamaKi fanfic but after watching HanaKimi the ..th time, I ended up with this.. hope you don't mind. Maki doesn't really appear in it though, uhm, you'll get what I mean when you read it. Btw, let me tell you, I'm really not good at describing the scene, I'd rather focus on the dialogues ^^ Anyway pliz enjoy & comment = love ;)
A young man sitting next to the bar, eyes fixed on the glass of wine.. Some times, he touches it a little with his fingers, or just gives out a long sigh, emotionlessly.
He's waiting.. This is the usual spot he & his buddy would meet every week.
For some unknown reasons, they missed out this place for last 3 months..
'kling kling' the bell announces the arrival of a new client.
The barman seems like recognize the person, he does a sign to him..
He quickly dashed to the bar, where his friend is found..
"Gomee I'm late~ " he takes off his coat "apple juice, pliz" he said to the barman
The young man just smiles at him
"That's ok. I've just arrived few minutes ago.."
"Ahh~ it'd been a long time since last time we come here, right ?"
He looked around the bar to finally turn back to his friend.
"yea, ....been a while.."
"uhm.. so what's up?"
"nothing special, I think you're busy lately huh?"
"well, it's work..."
He pauses ,to look at his friend who the whole time does not once lift up his eyes from the glass of wine..
"you didn't call me out there to talk about work, right?"
The young man gives a small smirk, then finally looks up to his buddy
"of course not, this is our private time, isn't it?, Toma kun"
Toma (T): "baaaka, of course I know.."
The barman appears ..
"..since when you start drinking this?" The young man askes, blankly.
"ah, someone told me that it's good for your health."
He picks up the cup.. ".. you should stop drinking alcohol, Pi chan, or at least have some limits"
Pi (P): "maa, you sound exactly like my mom just now" as he takes the glass & finishes it in one gulp.
(T) "tsk, you're helpless" as he gives up on his buddy's stubborness & turns back to his juice.

(P) "you know, I've never had any regret in my life,... or that,I try." "I alwayz ask myself if what I am doing right now, will I regret in the future?"
(T) "well, it's unavoidable. It's life, you can't foresee what'll happen to you tomorrow, neither inverse time.." He takes another gulp
(P) "that's ironic.. I once wished that I had such power" as he smirks.. "another red wine, plizz"
(T) "oi, can you handle it? You have to drive later."
(P) "don't worry, I'm fine."
.. there's a silence imposed there without they know the reason
(P) "ne, ..... is she doing well?"
(T) "who"
(P) "her ....." "your girlfriend"
(T) "wha.. how.. what girl?"
(P) "don't play dumb with me if you still treat me as your old buddy"
(T) "...." "so... you knew" "it's really you, nothing can escape ur sharp eyes huh"
(P) "don't worry, you've been very discret, nobody will discover it any soon."
(T) "not that I care"
(P) "i envy you.."
(T) "huh?"
(P) "..being so brave"
(T) He burst out in a little smirk "what ya talking about?"
(P) "... I know.., that you knew"
Sudden, his face turns straight as his friend's word spit out
(P) The young man continues, ".. well it's not that important, we're buddies after all, right"
(T) "....." "she's ,doing fine" Toma says back, slowly
(P) "I'm glad"
(T) "Pi chan, you said you know that I knew.. is it..."
(P) "the fact that I know you're going out with my ex co-star... yea"
(T) "so.. you discovered everything" "when, ?"
(P) "I don't remember.. perhaps you're only good at acting for dorama but really bad in real life.." he giggles discretly
(T) "yea,... we both felt that the other knew.."
(P) "Before you arrived, I was thinking... if it is the reason, our tradition meeting at this place is disrupted.." "I try to convince it's not, you're too busy on the set, you forgot... but.." at instant, he drinks down his wine .
Toma picks up his cup, gives a small smile to it, then put it down quietly..
(T) "we're always together since childhood.." "..entered the entertainment circle same time, learning the 1st dance steps same day, & being on stage singing the same song in the same group.." "ha.. I don't know since when we've become best friend just like that..."
(P) "..."
(T) "sometimes, I even believe we are some sort of twins.. you alwayz understand me before everyone else does.." he pauses "we even have same taste on almost everything"
(P) "..."
(T) "I never thought it'd be any difference 1 day, even when our group was disbanded, or when you debut before me..."
(P) "..."
(T) "I never..." "ever wanted ..to compete with you."
(P) A long silence posed down .. It took a while before Pi decided to speak, "I know.." "no matter what I do, you support me all the way.."
(T) "..."
(P) "I don't think it's changed now, am I wrong."
(T) "is it a question."
(P) "uhm, .. it's not. you're right." he continues "...it's rather me who support you now."
(T) "that's a way to say.."
A cool wind somehow finds a way to sneak in.. Pi sniffs his nose a bit & and wraps his arms to his chest.

(P) "I was a bit ..surprised."
(T) he smirks, again "I'm more than you."
(P) Pi sends him a 'fake' smile that he learnt from someone "How it happened?"
(T) "uhm.. I'm not sure. The day the filming set is closed; when we hugged as saying for the last time... While driving home, bathing, even on my bed, I still thought I was going to see her again the day after."
(P) "..."
(T) "..& that's when I realized.. " "it felt like a dream, a daylight dream .. I thought it's because of the summer heat, haha"
(P) "..."
(T) "...."
(P) "..it's not what you really realized, right?."
(T) "hun, you see through me."
Pi gives another small smile before taking up his glass..
(T) "I didn't know what to do at first.." Toma continues his confession.
(P) "you were scared...., for once" Pi teases
(T) "I can't remind for how long I stayed neat in front of my cellphone, just staring at it.."
(P) "3 hours?" Pi says, teasingly.
(T) "hum, .. not sure"
(P) "then.?"
(T) "I called her" "and... we talked."
(P) "so this is how it started, isn't it too banal."
(T) "it is.. isn't it." Toma confirms with a playful grin. "she's very easy going & simple minded" he continues. "I still recall, she was the first to laugh at my jokes during the 1st day of filming" "I thought she was... different."
(P) "she is."
(T) "yea, she was not at all like the image I had of her before.." "it was a pleasant encounter"
Toma suddenly stops his words, takes a glance to his friend.. before turning to his cup again.. "you must know her very well too, right.." "since you worked with her twice."
(P) "hum, not that much" "now think about it, we never had a proper talk"
(T) "I thought so.. she was scared of you"
(P) he smiles, "she said that?"
(T) "no.." "baka"
Both burst into little smiling.. then Toma, in his turn, takes another breath..
(T) "she often brings you up during our conversation.." "I don't know why, but I alwayz end up telling her that I still keep in contact with you & that.. you're doing very well."
(P) "..."
(T) "for a moment, I believed, she..." as he lift his eyes towards his friend who stay immobile.. "I wanted to ask her sometimes, but I haven't.."
(P) "it's meaningless"
(T) "..." "you know what I wanted to ask her?" even that's a question, it sounds likely a confirmation to both of them
the movement of his fingers is instantly abrupted as he feels the hard breathing from his friend..
(T) "ma ma~~ it's not that it's important anyway." ".." "no mater what the answer is, I don't want to know" he says firmly, convinced.

(P) "She was very quiet.." "& distant" "I thought that's because she feels awkward being alone with two guys.." "as I observed her.." "at a corner, she's just staying there, reading or staring at something in the air" He smiles as he recalls the scenery. "I thought she was really into her character, or perhaps she's just like that.." For once, Pi left his hand off the glass to put it under his chin..
(T) "indeed, she gives that kind of impressions"
(P) "..I thought she was weird, ha.."
(T) "she's very special, yea"
(P) "..1 day, she smiled, for the 1st time at Kame's simple remark"
(T) "..."
(P) "..it was like watching the discovery channel" he says jokingly
(T) "..."
(P) ".."
another silence takes place between the 2 good friends.. something had rarely happened long time ago..
(T) "why.." weakly, he asks. "why didn't you do anything?"
(P) "I don't know.."
(P) "I don't understand why every morning I wake up, that eager to see her face, that smile ,again.."
(T) "..."
(P) "another same pliz" Pi waves to the barman. "I thought something was wrong with me, & I couldn't accept that.."
The barman arrives with another glass of wine. as he takes it & had another gulp down..
(T) "you're drunk, Pi chan" Toma calmly says, even though he didn't make a move to his friend
(P) "perhaps, yea, I may just take a taxi later.."
(T) "..."
(P) "17" "that was the only possible reason I found.."
(T) "..."
(P) "seventeen.. yrs old, she was, only.."
(T) "you're pathetic like that, you know" he picks up his cup to realize it's empty already. "excuse me, another same, pliz, thank you"
(P) "ain't I? ha"
(T) "..."
(P) "you don't know, how agitated I felt, when I heard I was going to work with her again"
(T) "..."
(P) "even though, I had no idea where it comes from.." "the thinking of seeing her everyday again.."
(T) "..." "stop drinking, Pi chan"
(P) "I was stupid."
(T) "It's all the past now.." Toma keeps fixing his eyes at the cup..
(P) ".." "you're right."
(T) "...."
(P) "there're times, I want to go to a far away place, somewhere I could breath normally &... listen to my, ..heart."
(T) "..."
(P) "what fame, what idol, what image.." "not even for a sec, I thought it'd be an obstacle in my life." "I used to feel satisfied, while alwayz aiming for the top.."
(T) "that's enough, Pi chan"
Pi gives his friend a grin "you're luckier than me.."
(T) "..."
(P) ".."

(T) "I've been in your shadow for a long time..." "but I never complaint" "because I know there's thing in this world more precious & harder to reach than that." "..." "you, just because you realized it too late."
(P) "..."
(T) "you heard it, but you dediced to ignore it.." "..." "it's your fault"
(P) "... isn't it" as he smiles, has another gulp, the wine seems bitter than ever .
(P) "if I had one more chance.."
(T) "you won't." as he cuts . "Life is not a dorama.." "you can't turn back time" "..." "ever"
(P) "..." Pi looks at his friend's side who does not leave his eyes away from the cup "I guess, you're right." quietly, he puts down the glass of wine.
(P) "make her happy."
(T) "she is."
(P) "..." "say hello to her for me"
(T) "i will."

ran: so how it is? I haven't written anything for a while ..it may suck & difficult to understand.. I hope it gets through though ^^;
