Now that was cool.

Just got back from biking. Longer (time and distance-wise) than I expected, but worth it.

Tried to take the road I normally take around the mountain. Ran into (not literally) a gate with a soldier. Nuts. Maybe I was on the wrong road, so I went around to the north side of the mountain (maybe 15-20km away). Went around the "Lotus Pond" up there, pretty nice. Then tried to find the other end of the road mentioned on my map. More soldiers (Naval complex (academy?) of some sort). Nuts. I saw on the map that there was a road through the middle of the mountain area that goes to the road I WANTED to be on. Saw some girl on a mountain bike and with the whole getup. Maybe she knew the way, so I started following (stalking?) her. But she's too slow on the uphill (and was probably freaked out by me tailing her), so I passed her and started going up the road. A minute later I looked back and she disappeared. Maybe I went the wrong way. So I went into the buddhist temple area around the corner. I was right. Caught up with her and told her I'm following her 'cause I have no clue where to go for good biking. Apparently she was doing off-roading, which I wanted to know where to do as well. Now, I had already done 40km (25 miles) of biking at this point, so I was a bit tired, but with her speed, I could probably keep up. I was a bit worried about having the skills and mental speed not to kill myself on the downhills. Chatted as time and space (and breath) allowed. Pretty cool. After we went back down, she took me to the bike shop that has a group of bikers that goes out every Sunday, so perhaps I can do that some time.

Hell, even got her number. 8675309. :D

Now it's 5pm, I'm exhausted, and I'm supposed to meet friends at 7pm. No clue how I'm going to recover in time. They'll be annoyed that I'm tired again... (I always seem to be tired when I meet them).

Final Stats:
51.13 km; 3:00:21 pedal time; 17.0 kph average.
Max Speed 131.0. It's a slight bug with the speedometer...
