Wordpress 2.5 is a nice place to live.
Okay, I just have to say that I can’t believe how easy doing the new design was. I started with the default theme and changed everything around & put together my own design. Now it’s all up and ready to go.
Some things to take note of:
For my Hobbit Readers I’ve added the plugin Shire Reckoning, which gives the date according to the Shire Calendar of Tolkein’s Lord of the Rings series. Yes, I’m a geek- and proud of it. Be happy it’s not a stardate!
Gravatars next to the comments! This is pretty spiffy, and I would like to encourage my dear friends who might comment from time to time to go sign up. (Spammers need not apply.)
The sidebar, which I can’t believe I actually got to do what I wanted it to. Clicking on the button makes the widget appear, thanks to a script found at Dynamic Drive. I’m completely satisfied with this!
I’m going to attempt to rescue the few posts I had before I made the server change. We’ll see what happens there. I wouldn’t worry about it except there was a very nice comment from the maker of Simple Contact (the script I use for my email form).
I’m going to have to do a post completely dedicated to the play I’m in, because apparently Google doesn’t know it exists, which is a shame- because it’s really funny. It’s me and 3 of my show buddies, and we were laughing through the entire read-through. The poster & program will be making an appearance in the Portfolio as soon as I get all of the Wordpress Galleries set up.
The girl and I went for a trip to the dollar store yesterday, and got plenty of stuff for Spring-Time Outdoor fun! I love this weather change!
