NASA are planning to bomb the South Pole of the Moon on October 8th, and are actually asking people to "celebrate" the event with "Impact parties" around the world! Are these people serious?
Whilst NASA have at their disposal, some of the best scientific minds in the world (allegedly!) there is something about this mission that scares the hell out of me! There are so many things that can go wrong with such a bombing, the worst of which could send the Moon off it's axis and heading for a collision with the Earth!
Now ok, you may call me a conspiracy theorist, but as a rational and logical person, I don't tend to believe any of these stories without first looking into them and here is the story on NASA's own website -
http://lcross.arc.nasa.gov/ The mission is to find out if there is water or ice under the surface of the moon, and by using a series of missile strikes into craters on the Moon's South Pole, scientists believe they can prove this ne way or the other. The trouble is, this has never been attempted under conditions such as those on the Moon and no-one can be 100% certain of the outcome.
The Moon allegedly affects our tides, our moods and the female menstrual cycle and any changes up there could have a BIG effect down here!
I remain very concerned.
