Live debate on the peak oil issue - Sunday on the radio!
The Transition Town event takes place tomorrow (Sunday) at Glastonbury Town Hall and Glastonbury Radio will be there bringing a live feed of the event to the world.
One exciting development is that Rob Hopkins of Transition Towns (who believes Peak Oil is a real issue and that it will run out soon), will taking part in a live debate with Ian Crane (who worked for 20 years in oil business) who believes there are mega stocks of oil in the USA and that we are in no danger of running out!
I must admit that when something is in short supply, we normally see rationing taking place, and not only are we NOT being rationed on the use of oil, but they are expanding airorts etc like the opening of the new Terminal 5 at Heathrow yesterday, and surely they wouldn’t do that if fuel was running out?
