Chatting to celebrities.....

Jun 13, 2009 11:01

As many of you know, I spent many years working in the music and sports industries and know a lot of "celebrities", and one thing I have always found, is that those who have been around for years and are really "big stars" are quite often the most down to Earth and easiest to deal with.

Newer stars and "one hit wonders" often believe their own PR and on occasions can be totally up their own arses!

Yesterday I spoke to some real music legends like TONY CHRISTIE, and what a lovely and kind man he seems to be. He spoke about his family more than his music and played down his own fame. He seems a really genuine nice guy.

LINDA LEWIS who had a string of hits in the 70's and is now working with people like Kanye West, again a lovely lady who even invited me to take the stage with her at Glastonbury and play some percussion lol!

SIMON NICOL, founder member of Fairport Convention, another guy who is came across so friendly and approachable.

So it was a good show yesterday and I enjoyed all three interviews. (If you missed it - you can catch it again at 8 p.m. Sunday night on Glastonbury Radio)

Next Friday I am joined by FRANCIS ROSSI of STATUS QUO, and am really looking forward to chatting to him too!
