Today is a beautiful day.
For the first time in my adult life, a democrat has been elected into the presidency. For the first time in the lifetime of our country, millions of american children believe that they, too, could someday be the president of America.
This is truly a beautiful day to be an American. I'm proud of my country again.
Now, I know this euphoria won't last. He will be the president, which means that I won't always agree with him. But he WILL be the president. Holy Crap.
I do also want to say, I was proud of McCain's concession speech. It goes along with what I said last post, that part of me believes even HE was rooting for Obama.
So, I'm sure that everyone already saw it, but just in case, here's obama's speech from last night. I'm sure it's everywhere. But it bears repeating.
