I just got back from France, where I visited friends and family (including my precious niece) but of greater potential impact where I had an interview I want to believe will lead to a fantastic job. It went really well, I clicked right away with the guy, I fit what they're looking for and they offer exactly what I am after (entrepreneurship, developing countries focus and renewable energy). What more could I ask?
The company is a German startup, based in Frankfurt, and develops renewable energy projects (wind & biomass) in India and China. They also have a strong focus on Clean Development Mechanism carbon credit origination and trading.
My job would be to support Chinese and Indian project managers on technical and financing issues, being based in Singapore after 6 months in Frankfurt. Moving to Singapore clearly has a cost - being away from friends and family - but is a privileged opportunity to deep dive into the Asian boom.
Nothing is signed yet, but I want to believe it will work. *knocking on wood*
