Well what is finished really? I've been telling people I'm finished with the manuscript for the latest comic. But what does Robert Browning say, or Herman Melville? I don't remember. Something about green shoots among full-eared corn and a firstling of a firstling. Like I say I don't remember. There is still tweaking to be done with the pictures and with the lettering but it's more than technical. There is more to the story than what I told. I don't know maybe I'm shooting for something between Anselm Kiefer and George Lucas. Finishing when the work is sold and never finishing but always 'updating'. Both are so crassly commercial. A paycheck is not a finishing line and I'm interested in development not just repackaging.
"Victory, Victory hailed the stars, howling hell quaked and mild heaven shuddered. what have I wrought?"
