It appears that the city of Prague has nixed the construction of what was to be the greatest of mankind's architectural achievements, the new Czech National Library. I guess that despite international acclaim for the planned bibliothèque, the stodgy traditionalists of the Prague Assembly just couldn't face the spectacular (and inevitable!) possibility of the library going on a protoplasmic rampage and devouring the city.
