"I volunteered at a rape center. The worst case was one of a little baby girl that was being raped by her own grandfather." This is senior Melissa Jones' version of her atypical summer...and yet she's only one of many this year. Be it spending the sunshiny days on mountaintops snowboarding, or teaching children their ABC's, the majority of the students here have had anything but boring vacations.

"I had zero drownings," says junior Andres Donoso, and triumphantly pumps a fist into the air. "Yes!!" Not only was he a swimming instructor for little kids, he was also a volunteer at an orphanage in Fort Lauderdale. His volunteer-filled days are greatly in contrast to Christy Hernandez', who took two classes, one of which was "the most boring thing in the world...but extremely useful."
