"An--ll--cons--port--lly--sition."Purple optics slowly flickered to life as a voice cut through the haze of his processor, the small mech groaning softly as everything began to reboot
( ... )
Barricade had been trying for three cycles, running his message on autoloop, before he finally got the tinny response. His capacitor surged with a kind of relief: he wasn't out here alone. Someone else. This made it real. This made it really happening. Rolling through the pristine, deserted streets, he'd really begun to wonder.
Then again, he told himself, he didn't have enough imagination to have hallucinated all of this.
He couldn't tell which message the responder had heard. Best play it safe. No sense fraggin' up your first step out.
For a brief moment Swindle had wondered if he had been hearing things originally, but then his comm came to life with a response and his vents cycled softly as he let out a half laugh.
//Designation's Swindle~ Decepticons. And my status..functional, though confused. I'm not really sure how I got here. What about you, friend?\\
Play it nice. Get an idea of what this bot was like before jumping head first into anything. That was how Swindle always worked so why would he stop now?
Taking a few steps before letting go of the wall completely, the peddler moved out of the alley that he had woken up in. Yep. Definitely not the Cybertron he was use to. Everything was much more...much...nicer. Much more beautiful in a weird sort of way, though he'd never admit that outloud. It was like something out of a history file.
'Functional but confused' pretty much covered Barricade's status, as well. But he was a 'con and that meant that maybe he had an ally. Maybe.
//No idea on the how or why. But we're here and maybe that means we've got more pressing issues right now. Don't know if or how many Autobots might be in the area.\\
He hadn't run across any yet, but...that meant nothing.
Optics flickering as Barricade gave orders, Swindle's lip components slowly curved into a grin before he outright chuckled.
"Demanding aren't you?" he mused, shaking his head as he let his hands drop from his hips, the smaller con started to meandering around the place. "No signs of life really, outside of us. Makes this all even odder I suppose." Reaching out to snag something, Swindle turned it over in his hand a bit, studying it intently before properly sticking it inside the subspace drawer on his chest.
"Whatever's going on, Cybertron's definitely never looked better~ What about you? Make contact with anyone else?"
sorry for delay...we should wrap this up soon maybe?halcyonlostAugust 6 2010, 03:10:01 UTC
"Demanding? Call it I don't want to die of stupid or starvation." He watched Swindle hork some supplies. Right. This was a great mech. A true Decepticon, too. Barricade made a note: have to recharge with proximity alarms around this one.
"Made contact? Not really. Overheard a bunch of Autobots. Seems, unfortunately, we're outnumbered."
Yesum, probably. BDsellyourmotherAugust 6 2010, 11:02:44 UTC
"Outnumbered? As long as you have the right toys you're never outnumbered, friend~" Swindle mused, glancing over at the much larger con and grinning lazily. "And I doubt we're the only Decepticons here. So, why don't we do some more scouting? Meet back here in a few hours and see what we can figure out?"
Truth be told, Swindle was just anxious to do some exploring to find more goods. Had nothing to do with finding other Decepticons; he could care less if there were more around. As long as there were bots, he had customers, and really that's all that mattered to the peddler.
I shall stalk your post next time. ^__^halcyonlostAugust 7 2010, 01:49:39 UTC
Finding more allies was a good idea. As was getting Swindle away from pilfering supplies in what Barricade was already considering the Base. Fraggin' mech didn't know well enough not to steal from his own nest!
"Sounds good to me. Hail when you need me. Or if you get into something you can't handle."

He sounded unhappy.
