Perceptor had been recording his observations about the other Autobots within the confines of the base, intending to bring said observations back to the lab. He hadn't been expecting a call to come over general frequencies, though he was quick to respond. //Greetings, Rodimus Prime. If you would provide a description of your surroundings, I may be able to provide an approximate location...//

The young prime straightened with a blink. That worked better than he'd anticipated.

//Perceptor, sir. It's good to hear your voice.//

Rodimus looked around himself, taking in his surroundings an any stand-out physical traits.

//It's a large intersection, sir. Four tall spires on each corner. It appears to be the main shopping district, though I don't see anyone else. This...doesn't make any sense..//

Frowning ever-so-slightly, Perceptor stored his datapad. Observations could wait. It was more important to assist Rodimus Prime. //Remain at your current location. I shall attempt to rendevous and direct you to the Autobot base.//

//Yes, sir. I'll keep an optic out for your arrival.//

Rodimus glanced around himself once more before ducking into the shadow of the building closest to him. He had a clear view of the street, and no one would be able to get the jump on him from here. It would be a safe place to wait until the councilmech arrived.

After leaving a spare datapad with a message should anyone notice his absence, Perceptor was soon on his way towards the main shopping district. He wasn't exactly certain whether he'd encounter any hostilities or not, but he hoped he wouldn't. It was a touch unsettling how quiet everything was without the rest of the population of Cybertron...

Rodimus waited in the shadows of his vantage point, weapon laying across his lap. It was...disconcerting here. Granted he'd been in Medical for a while, but he doubted things would have changed this much. The landscape was only vaguely familiar.

And that still didn't explain where everyone had gone.

After a while of waiting the sound of solid movement caught the Prime's audios. A quick scan revealed the small red truck headed his way. Rodimus stood to his full height and emerged partly from the shadows.

//Over here, sir.//

Perceptor was quick to alter his course slightly, transforming once he was close enough to address Rodimus properly. "It is good to see you, Rodimus Prime. We should not linger unnecessarily. There are Decepticons in the Iacon area, though I am uncertain of their proximity to this location..."

He would not disclose that he had indeed established contact with the Decepticon doctor at this time, as he did not believe such information was necessary for the safe return to the Autobot base. Besides, there was a much more pressing issue at hand...

"There are also several anomalies and what appear to be duplicates of several prominant Autobots, though their construction differs from the construction of their counterparts, if they are indeed counterparts of one another..."

Rodimus subspaced his weapon as he approached the scientist. "It's good to see you as well, sir."

"So...this is Iacon? Some of it only looked a bit familiar. The rest is-"

Wait. What?

"Duplicates?" The prime looked at the Councilmech in confusion. "What are you saying, that there are two of you....two of me?"

Oh, there was the helmache...

"Indeed. This is Iacon, and as far as I have been able to observe, on a strange Cybertron..." Perceptor blinks a bit at the duplicates question, "I have met them... Their construction is most unusual and quite intriguing."

....o-..kay. "I'm confused."

Rodimus rubbed his faceplates gently. Confused was an understatement. But he supposed that he would find out once they got back to the Autobot base.

"I'm ready when you are, Sir."

"It has taken some getting used to I suppose..." Perceptor nodded and moved to transform. "It would be advisable to keep your sensors on alert for potential danger... Several Autobots have mentioned encountering sizeable slugs which seem inclined towards hostilities..."

"Understood."

And with that, the young prime folded down into his alt mode.
