When Curufinwë died, I mourned. And I hoped that the rift between our two families could be healed. It was not to be so.
Out of Fëanor's sons, I had the most trouble with Turkafinwë. We had many arguments over the years, and an intense mutual dislike developed between us. I still do not see how Irissë could have befriended him, but that was in Valinor, and perhaps he was different then.
Only Thingol ever proved to be more of an annoyance than Turkafinwë.
My uncle and my nephew, and they both resented me.
Is hatred always greatest between kin?
