32:: 500 Days of Summer
For the challenge#22 at picspammy :: ILLUSTRATE A SONG
My first picspam ~ so I apologize if it's horrendous :P
I absolutely love 500 Days of Summer. It's quirky, clever, and totally appropriate for both the lovedrunk and loveless. Plus JGL is to die for.
One of the central themes in the movie is how Tom only ever looked back at the good things that happened through the duration of his relationship with Summer.
This picspam, then, shows that to the wonderful song "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane.
The lyrics reflect how Tom is at first lost and depressed, hung up on his happiness lost. However, over time, he realizes that his relationship wasn't perfect -- far from it, in fact -- and that he and Summer are moving on to better, brighter things.
Also having realized that, he realizes that he and Summer will still always have a special bond between them, forged by a special understanding and the memories (both bad and good) that they made together. Thus "Somewhere only [they] know".
(This is my first picspam, and hopefully one of many more in the future; Also hopefully I will get better at this haha)
