Where I come from, the likelihood of any of us coming home on any given day is only about fifty percent. If that helps put it into perspective.

Because this is what I am. You can't make a mundie a Shadowhunter any more than you can take the blood of the Angel out of the Shadowhunter.

And if we all refused to be what we are, there wouldn't be any of us left. There wouldn't be anyone to protect the Accords, or to keep the Downworlders in line, or to kill the rogue demons. We're necessary to the balance of things, even if you mundies don't realise what's going on right under your noses.
