[The bickering is actually what catches his attention, the night in the club slow and quiet. He recognizes Jessamine's voice and picks up the Dreamberry in time to see her half-naked in her bath. There's a muffled curse and he quickly averts his eyes, but not without noticing the scars. The blond woman is clearly hiding a hell lot more than she likes to pretend with him.

While it's not really polite, he keeps on listening to their fight, perhaps half worried it will turn truly ugly. Honestly, this makes him happy he's an only child.]

....And I thought my family was screwed up....

[He mutters to himself, because really, for all Ezio's and Claudia's bickering, they still had not thrown things at each other's head. Yet.]

[Jessamine doesn't notice that someone is watching the feed until Desmond speaks and she squeeks quickly sliding lower into the bath. Her face is completely red but she's hoping her didn't see too much of anything else.]

D-Desmond! I wouldn't consider Isabelle my family at all.

[Desmond keeps looking away from the screen, but he smirks lightly]

Really? Because you two are really bickering like siblings.

[She groans inwardly and quickly changes the Dreamberry from video to voice so that she spares herself at least the visual embarrassment. This isn't proper at all.]

And I suppose you're an expert in that.

It's not so bad, I promise! Who doesn't like seeing a cute woman in her bath, really?

[One quick look and he notices the black screen and he takes his Dreamberry]

There's a splashing in the background and it's basically Jessamine getting out of the bath and bundling herself into a towel.]

[Here he can't help the small laugh at her sarcasm. Despite how tensed she might be because of the fight with Isabelle, he can't stop himself from teasing her further.]

Hey, you'd be surprised to know how people care for one another beneath all that hostility.

[Because no matter how much Altaïr is disappointed in him, or how hard Ezio punches him, he knows they care enough to help him save the world. Well, he hopes, anyway.]

Hum. Okay. [He has no idea why she brought up that Will again in the conversation, but he'll go with the flow.]

The video clicks back on, but Jessamine is bundled into a fluffy white robe and her wet hair is piled ontop of her head. Desmond may or may not notice that the faint white scars are still peeking up on her neck.]

She set me up with a stranger thinking it would be funny so I placed her boots in another part of the house without her knowing.

[He sees them and yet again only files it to ask about them later on. When she finally explains what happened between her and Isabelle, Desmond can't help but to raise an eyebrow, half surprised and half amused.]

She set you up on a blind date and you hid her boots in retaliation?

[....Wow. Good thing he never did try to match Shaun and Rebecca back in his world.]

And then she went off and took my parasol so I merely helped redecorate her room.

[She frowns.] It hardly calls for her to come barging in on me.

I suppose not, but couldn't you just have told her you were not interested to go on a date with someone you didn't know instead of...taking her boots?

She didn't tell me about the date at all so I only wished to return the favour. There's nothing at all wrong with that.
