could anyone be loved any more than I love you?
So, my boss has been out for just over 2 weeks and my spiral into major being-behind-ness continues. Thank goodness it's Friday. And, my boss sent me the following email this morning:
I wanted to talk to you in person, but I am running out of time. So, here goes:
Your new salary for this year will be $X. This represents an increase of A.05%. A% is the highest percentage raise I could make. Congratulations! Everyone from Steve [the President of the company] on down really appreciates your hard work. I could not do it without you!!
I am sorry for doing this by email, but this has been a very strange few weeks.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
While this doesn't mean that all of my financial woes are over in any way (nor does it mean that I can comfortable quit TCS), it's nice to get a pat on the back for working hard.
AND, because it's Friday, it's CHEAP MEXICAN LUNCH DAY. Yay. 40 minutes and counting...
Now for two random thoughts -
I need a haircut. Badly. And I'm thinking about getting it colored.
For some reason, I've been thinking about trying to pick up a musical instrument lately. Since a piano is kind of out of the question, I've been looking into used viola prices. I go through these cycles of really wanting to play again and I guess I'm in one now.
