Virus
Well, I've had an exciting two days of school! Yesterday during nap time, I had a child throw an enormous temper tantrum (which included him removing his shoes and socks and throwing them at me), a child throw up all over themselves, and an unannounced fire drill all within ten minutes. Needless to say it was exciting. About half an hour after Sick Child A was sent home, Potentially Sick Child B started complaining that his stomach hurt. He never threw up, but we decided not to take any more chances and called his parents anyway.
Cut to today. I have 22 children in my class; guess how many were present today? Nope that's not even close. I had 8. Yes, you heard right: 8! Although I didn't hear from all of their parents, I know that at least 10 of the 14 who were absent, were home sick today with a stomach bug. We had a great big Lysol party in my class today and learned all about the importance of washing our hands. :) Fortunately, I haven't caught it yet (knock on wood), but the weekend's just starting so there's plenty of time for it to catch up with me.
