Anybody still here?
Hey all! In case you were wondering, I haven't been spending everyday here in paradise laying on the beach and drinking Pina Coladas. In fact, I haven't been here that much at all. I spent 10 days at the beginning of the month traveling across the Southeast, bringing my car home on the final leg of our journey from New Mexico. I went on a couple of job interviews (no luck so far), saw some family members, and most importantly, got to hang out with my girls (Thanks Heidi, Brandi, and Em for your fabulous hospitality!). My insane sister decided that she NEEDED to go to Sea World that weekend I was away, which also happened to be the same weekend Tropical Storm Arlene passed over Florida. So Jessie hopped on an AIRPLANE in the middle of a gusty storm and flew to Orlando so that she could spend the day with her friend Shamu. Crazy, I tell ya.
Since I've been home, my time has been split between helping my mom out at her summer camp (i.e. free labor) or babysitting my little Georgie (I've escaped with only three injuries so far!). I haven't even gotten to unpack yet, much to my mother's disappointment since I have boxes all over her house. The job hunt for next year is not going well right now, so keep that in your prayers for me, will ya?
Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer, no matter how you're spending it. Drop me a line sometime and let me know what's up with you! I miss all my faraway buddies, but am very glad to be reunited with my old Key West pals again. Take care of yourselves, everyone!
