bleh
Well I had high hopes for this weekend, ha. So yesterday we (kevin, mom and I) went to Cypress Gardens to go see Lonestar in concert cause that's what mom wanted for mom's day..so we spend the $37 a piece(of course moms ticket was split between kev and i), we buy mom lunch, buy her snacks at the park...etc..it starts to rain - we're thinking "good, it'll get it out of it's system before the concert"...haha yeah right. So yea...it's about 6:00, show starts at 6:30 so we go to get dinner, hoping its the last of the rain showers...at 630 we head back to the concert area...and it starts to POUR...of course the park has sold out of ponchos.. so the next best thing that we had keeping our chairs dry...GARBAGE BAGS, so my mom makes a hole in the bottom of the bag and i put my head through - so kevin, kevin's friends and i are all wearing oh so sexy garbage bags, meanwhile STILL getting absolutely drenched...it's still raining, and not the light rain - like the drops felt like pellets. grr..so we see the opening act - they play through the rain...slowly people are leaving b/c the rain isn't letting up...the opening act finishes...they're uncovering Lonestars drums, etc...theres a couple in front of us...the guy gets off his cell and says to his girl "dad says there are tornados all around us...we're outta here" meanwhile we just laugh it off and say there's no way we're leaving after sitting here through all this (ha.) So 10-15 min later...man on the loud speaker "due to inclement weather, the show will be postponed at LEAST 30-45 min, as we expect the weather to get significantly worse between now and then" ha. meanwhile the monsoon weather starts to come...so we all look at each other in our oh so purty garbage attire and say "ef it, we're outta here"...so yeah...spent lots of money...got DRENCHED...my car seats are now wet...for what? nada. no concert. GRRRRR....mother nature and i are about to fight! So anyways - that was my saturday..so for those of you that worked the rummage sale..i'm jealous! I wish i could've been there and not at that stupid park :P
Well today i'm off to st. pete to see the Red Sox kill the devil rays....going with Megan, Mel, Eleanor, Charity, and a buncha men from Charity's work. should be interesting considering I only know like 3 of the people. ha.
