12 hours yesterday in the car. not my personal record of 20 hours, but when you're crammed in with your parents, some baggage, and a massive dog, it's all the same after 10 hours...
ah. teh wonderful salt lake city. if it weren't for the olympic legacy plaza (despite its penchant for faux-aspen brickwork and hideously executed nu-gen square ass architecture), this city might have absolutely nothing going for it. i've been wandering around
cauldron park now for sometime trying to find a decent damn wireless signal and finally was able to parky myself in front of, who ever woulda though it, the apple store.
i'm out of the house for now, and wandering around on my own in The Gateway, an old train station turned olympic shopping plaza. kind of a neat place, but nothing is open. in fact, save the mass exodus from the sermon a while ago at the temple, i'm the only person i've seen downtown/here at the plaza all day. it's kind of nice, i guess.
okay, i don't actually have anything worth posting, but this was more of an excuse to get out and at least see the area while i'm here. we'll leave tomorrow morning around 5:00.
