I am posting this to all Katrina-relief-related communities now formed on Live Journal.
TO DISPLACED COLLEGE STUDENTS
University at Albany (State University of New York) is offering to accept students to be "visiting students" at the university for the year. Although I am unsure of how many will be accepted to join us here in Albany, I want you to know how to get in touch with the Dept of General Studies.

"Students or families affected by the hurricane who wish to discuss admission to the University at Albany should contact the Office of General Studies at (518) 442-5140. The office is located in Room 110 of the Social Science building on the uptown campus."

"UAlbany is one of several National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges (NASULGC) members who have rallied around this relief effort to help victims rebuild their lives and communities."
I hope, as college students from NO and other affected areas, you will be able to find a home for the semester.
