Complete Benefit Information
There has been some confusion regarding the benefit for Kevin Thomas of NOPD. I have been in contact with one of the coordinators of the benefit. I would also like to add that this is not the Officer who was shot this last spring. That was Officer Andres Gonzalez (if you still wish to assist him you may contact me and I will give you information.) During the past year with everything that we have all been going through Kevin, his family and friends seemingly slipped through the cracks. Hopefully this is the begining of pulling him back up and through with the rest of us.
Below is information regarding Officer Kevin Thomas of NOPD who was shot in the line of duty DURING Katrina. Kevin has suffered critical injuries that will require years of treatment. Please do what you can to help assist him and his family. I can tell you it will be greatly appreciated by all.
Injured NOPD officer benefit
Officer Kevin Thomas, who worked in the 4th District of the New Orleans Police Department, was shot in the head, point blank range, while trying to stop looters in a Chevron Gas Station during Hurricane Katrina. The benefit is at the House of Blues on Sept 12. Tickets are $23 in advance and $25 at the door, with proceeds going to Kevin.
