This made me feel like I'm not wasting four years of my life only to end up flipping burgers after I graduate:
Toby Motyka - Sports Director
Toby Motyka came to NEWSCHANNEL 36 in October 2007 as a Part-time Sports Reporter and Photographer. He then signed on as a Full-time News and Sports Reporter in December of 2007.
Toby graduated from Mansfield University in May of 2007 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He spent time as the Sports Director of 89.5 FM The Giant while calling play by play for numerous sports and hosting a sports-talk show titled "The NFL Show And Stuff". He was also the Sports and News Anchor for the university's television club, and spent time as a Copy Editor and Sports Editor for "The Flashlight". He was a sports intern in Minneapolis, MN at WCCO-TV during the summers of 2005 and 2006.
As a Binghamton native, Toby is familiar with the Twin Tiers and is excited to be working here.
In his spare time Toby enjoys playing sports, music, and watching movies.
