Errands: Pérouges, a medieval village from France
One of those last week-end, we headed to Pérouges, a nice medieval village, not far from Lyon (like 40 km away), for a little walk.
Even if the place is quite touristic, it worths a visit. The place is really well preserved and I love all the plants and greeneries all around the cities, that makes summer the perfect season to visit it !
Perched upon an hill, the village is circled by fortifications and even the major streets go round, full of pretty houses from the XVth and XVIth century.
Here is the old inn of the village, with those corns hanging on the ceiling.
The tree in the center of the village (Linden) has been planted in 1791!

I don't know how it is in other country, but in France, (some) people always fear robbery, so they often take big dogs to defend their house. And place a sign saying "angry dog" on the door (certainly hoping a possible burglar will renounce in front of their house). And this sign just mocks kindly those people ;)
We found the village architecture to be closer to some villages from the South of France (like Cordes-sur-Ciel) : what a contrast with the village of Gruyères, in Switzerland, we visited some weeks ago. Both belonged to the Savoy house, but they are really different in their architecture !
I tried to take plenty of pictures at sunfall, to avoid shadows (big problem of light in summer): that is to say, everything in half an hour, before it gets too dark :)
This is the local specialty: a kind of flat brioche with an egg+sugar toping! :)
I have the same pentunia at home, but they are not so luxuriant! I love their vivid colours!

And you servitor in summer outing (first time in the whole year that I wear some old clothes from the lolita era! Even if it doesn't look lolita per se, but...)
