Amenra is a post-core, doomed spririt band from the Netherlands, that has realeased 5 beautiful albums in the last decade. Far more darker than any kind of black metal, their universe is fascinating, constructed around a community of fan called the Church of Ra, assuming the assumption of being a kind of music sect!

On stage, the atmosphere is hypnotising, the band has a strong and cold presence, due to a powerful sound and to some beautiful visuals at the background.

Having (re)listen to their two last albums before coming, the atmosphere was perfectly recreated. The sound is like a storm coming upon the horizon: some contemplative elements alert about the tempest which is coming. You hear them coming, and the apprehension of the event is barely untenable, because you KNOW they are on their way... and when they are here, Dear God, this a blast of desolation, hatred and magnificence at the same time!

The band is playing in an almost dark atmosphere, so I apologize in advance if the pictures are a bit somber. But at the same time, it was the exact atmosphere of the concert.

No any words between each song, the singer stayed barely all the concert back to the public, little rictus of suffering on each players face... The atmosphere is artic, and so is their ire.

I have absolutely no regret coming, it was one of the best concert of the year!

They are actualy touring around Europe, I think there are still a few dates in Belgium. If it's close enough to you, then go!

The following ones were only taken to show you the background pictures that were turning during the concert, and that really participated to build the atmosphere on stage. Pictures of powerful nature and desolated lands, abandonned places, of roads full of trees, leading to nowhere...
