I am reveling in the joy that is last-minute paper writing. 7 pages of exploring the vigilantes Batman from Dark Knight Returns to Rorschach from The Watchmen down (since 5pm!), one more to go. My favorite bits of BS produced so far: Ultimately, Gotham City as portrayed in The Dark Knight Returns falls into an anarchic state, only to be redeemed by the fascistic presence of Batman. In a society reduced to helplessness through constant reevaluation of values, Batman’s vigilantism becomes a welcomed beacon of constancy and decisiveness.
One powerpoint presentation left to do tonight. If I would focus I would be in bed at a decent hour. Relatively speaking.
I'm a mite afraid that the rain outside will turn to ice overnight. This would be bad because the presentation worth a hefty part of my Comic Book grade is at 8am, and my Mustang, though aesthetically pleasing, is not safe to drive on anything resembling ice.
In Brit Lit we're reading The Beggar's Opera, and there is a young thief named Filch, and at one point a character said, "Come hither, Filch." I indulged in inappropriate laughter for entirely too long after reading that, and was hard pressed to not mention it when asked about funny parts of the play in class.
I have no more school-related tales to share, so I'm going to attempt to finish my paper. And presentation. And then sleep.
