I am exhausted, but the first week and a half of the semester are firmly behind me. Working in the bookstore for rush was horrid, though I got paid today so I feel a bit better about it.

I have some great classes this semester - I don't dread any of them, except of course thesis. Thesis will be extra terrible because I have to have it completely done in November. November isn't very far away, especially since I'm two chapters away. Though my advisor was happy with my summer progress, and I have lots of stuff to read before my next meeting.

I signed up to present on X-Men for my comic book class, and to lead the discussion on Harry Potter for Children's Lit. I just love the fact that these are the sorts of things I get to read this semester- my weekend homework includes reading the Superman Archives. Of course, I still get to read fun things like Beowulf and Wordsworth.

I had to talk to a freshman comp class today, as part of my tutoring job. I hate public speaking with a passion, even when it's just a few minutes like it was today. Though I like my tutoring job- it amounts, in fandom terms, to being a freelance beta reader for four hours a week.

*grins* Maybe now that the semester has settled in I'll get back into the fandom groove... I've been sort of lax, as of late, about most things fandomy.
