I am unnaturally excited because this weekend The Devil's Rejects is released. Rob Zombie is my favorite horror director. House of 1000 Corpses is possibly my favorite movie. There is no way this movie will not rock ( Read more... )

I think that Tom Riddle, like many serial killers tend to be, is not outwardly insane. He's handsome, he's manipulative, and above he's persuasive ( ... )

Charisma just seems like... too simple of an answer, almost, to explain all of Voldemort's followers. I think I'm just wanting a deeper answer than charisma and the temptation of power.

You know, it would be utterly fascinating if a similar thing happened to Bellatrix. With the position she's in right now, I can't see her getting to survive much longer either. She isn't shy about doubting and downtalking Snape, who is apparently winning the most trusted and most loyal awards with Voldemort, and right now in Voldemort's eyes Snape has done the ultimate deed- killing Dumbledore. The war is coming to a head. (I can't see Voldemort being overly concerned with the Malfoy angle of the situation, other than to order them killed for failure.) Bellatrix has dug herself a hole, and she has no avenue for escape. The Order wouldn't dream of letting her in, not after she killed Sirius, not to mention her past crimes, and any ties with outsiders she might have had before Azkaban have long been severed.

Bellatrix very well maybe hung herself out to dry. I doubt she'd ever join the Order, but might operate independently if necessary. She's not above self-preservation.

And as far as Snape being most trusted, loyal, etc. (He seems to have moved into Lucius' recently vacated spot). Just remember the saying: keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
