AN: Oh man, so when I signed up to write AHS I didn't QUITE realize that the season finale was going to be the day before Yuletide was due. That was a teensy bit stressful, given how AHS tends to give backstory that retroactively changes everything at the drop of a hat. When I started this fic, episode 1x10 hadn't aired yet, and I was HOPING that my assumption was canon. It turned out to be, thankfully, otherwise I would have had to scrap this and write who-knows-what. Thank you, Ryan Murphy. But I was really excited about this prompt and was pretty proud of the finished product. There are a lot of really interesting layers to the relationship between Violet and Tate, even though I set this during what was arguably their honeymoon period, and I had a lot of fun with all those complications.
