here, for the prompt-song "Much Too Long Now" by the Sounds. Also, this is three one-hundred word drabbles strung together, each with a different pov. I love when drabble prompts give me an excuse to dabble in awesome stuff. :D
“He’s stealing my thunder!” Tony said. “I come out as a goddamn superhero, and what does he do? Manage a corporate buyout so spectacular that it overshadows me!”
“Mr. Stark,” Pepper said calmly. “The Iron Man story broke three months ago. It isn’t going to be front-page news forever. In fact, it’s been seventh and eighth page news for some time. If you’d like--”
“What I’d like is for you to arrange a meeting with Wayne,” Tony said. “Pronto!”
“And what should I say the reason for this meeting is?” Pepper asked. With Wayne’s reputation? This would be a nightmare.
“Vengeance!”

“Stark,” Wayne said blandly.
“Bruce, old son!” Tony said, clapping him on the back. “Someone’s been getting a good workout!”
“Having fun saving the world from your own oversights?” Wayne said, snagging a champagne flute from a passing waitress.
“Still jealous that you can’t fly?” Tony said. Wayne raised an eyebrow. “You know, you’re kind of a fuddyduddy, Bruce.”
“I don’t hear that often.” Another calm expression. Tony decided then and there it was his personal mission to make Wayne crack a smile. That, and saving the world.
“You aren’t around me often,” Tony pointed out. “Though that should change.”

Alfred didn’t eavesdrop, but Mr. Stark and Master Bruce hardly kept their voices down. Alfred rather approved of Stark, who had the joie de vivre that his charge so dearly lacked.
Stark got through Bruce’s overly developed defenses. They were on even ground, down to their nocturnal activities.
“I’ll be downstairs,” Bruce said, exiting the parlor.
“Sir,” Alfred said, pointedly not looking at Bruce’s mussed hair and loosened collar . “I’m assuming your companion has departed?”
“That’s enough, Alfred.”
Alfred knew Bruce, could see he had abandoned some control.
Alfred decided to ring the efficient Miss Potts to arrange for another meeting.
