I read this quote: Obstacles in your path aren't blocking you from you're journey, they are part of the journey
Since reading this and really trying to let things happen and remain positive I've had the following things happen:
Part time job accepted, then they changed the terms and I resigned
Full time job offered #1
Fullt time job #2 interview for Monday.
Decisions..
Job #1 would be challenging, 3 orchestra, 3 music appreciation, excellent facilities, good schedule, pay is decent. Expectations of a great orchestra and they want me to work on an exchange program there.
Job #2 not challenging professionally. middle school. 9 weeks with each class and they move on (so long enough to learn 1 or 2 if that, songs). No expectations, just show up, nothing inspiring, school has horrible expectations but they pay is pretty good. Close to home, like 12 miles from home, Job #2 is 20 miles. The interview is Monday, isn't a done deal but have a feeling it could be if I wanted it.
Which one do I take?
I want a job which allows me time to focus on IIMS. Is the stress of no expectations and terrible school culture better than one with the exact opposite? I dunno. I have some thinking to do.
