Report: Johnny's Ginza (Crea) Prince 2016.05.14

OK I guess maybe I could write some kind of report of Prince's Crea shows...

I went to the Saturday 1pm show which I wasn't happy about at first (far too early to be wearing that much make up!) but it turned out to be amazing (Kinpuri!!) On my way in I noticed an older, good looking man and a nicely dressed woman sitting in the 12th row. I found out later from Japanese fans on twitter that they may have been Jinguji's parents! I see where he gets his good looks from!

The first song was Katsunda WIN! which reminds me of the good times last summer when Kinpuri was a thing. They all seemed very nervous and unsure, especially Kishi who kept looking round at the other two as if checking the choreography. I was kind of surprised by this since they'd already done the show 3 times before so I thought they would have settled down a bit. Next they did Messenger which was solid. Then they disappeared for a quick change and when they came back out for No Matter Matter Genki was wearing only his jacket with no shirt underneath. The screams were deafening and he looked so pleased with his little self. I don't know how many details you want but his nipples are pink and his tummy is tight but he's so small that the overall impression was cute, not hot.

Next they did Seiten no Hekireki and Back Fire, both of which they've done on Shokura and then half way through A My Girlfriend Kishi went to get changed for his solo. Jiguiwa made lovey dovey eyes at each other for a bit (Genki had buttoned his jacket for the sake of decency) and then it was time for Kishi's solo, V6's Guilty. All I can say is...he tried. It wasn't bad, his voice was very nice but he did some awkward stripper moves on a chair and he just doesn't have the natural sexiness to pull it off. He also did that move where they stand on the chair and lower it down so it's on it's back and my heart stopped for a minute! When he was done Jiguiwa did Inori and gave me all the Kisumai feels. Then they let the younger Jr's do some songs which I wasn't really interested in but I guess they need to have their chance like Prince had theirs. It cracks me up when Kawasaki Koki sings When I Was 17 though, you're only 13 son! The last song before the MC was Hello Haruiro, which is a crap song but so damn catchy!

During the MC they introduced the guests who had come to watch; Hokuto, Shintaro, Kouchi and Juri from SixTONES and Sho and Kai from Mr King. At first they said all of Mr King were there but Sho and Kai were like "Ren isn't here yet!" Ren confirmed at the show the next day that he had overslept. Hokuto was wearing dungarees and round glasses and Sho was wearing a Very Hungry Caterpillar T-Shirt but everyone else had managed to dress themselves like Human Beings. Jinguji made Sho stand up and show us his T-shirt and it turns out Jinguji and Shintaro have matching ones that Shin insisted they buy. Both Jin and Shin said they wouldn't wear it out of the house though. They explained that they'd changed some things in the show last minute so that's why they were nervous at the start. Also, Juri revealed that he video calls Kishi at 2am and Kishi shows him his room and they have a funny face contest.

After the MC they sang Sekai ga Hitotsu ni naru made which reminded me of the day before when a little 4th grade boy was humming it at lunch time, right before he spilt his milk on me! Then the chibi Jr's sang 3 byou waratte, which was high pitched. Then Jinguji sang Hitoribochi no Ha Brush solo and he played guitar. He did his very best but the boy just can't sing! His voice is not powerful like Nagase Tomoya's. Next was Kishi and Genki doing Busaiku's Dare no Ketsu? in monkey and pig ears which was super cute. Obviously they shook their butts a lot and Genki definitely won in terms of booty. Instead of Yokoo's solo part, Kishi played the recorder which was hilarious. Then the less chibi of the chibi Jr's sang Byakuya and Genki and Kishi joined in. It was kind of surreal as they still had their pig and monkey ears on. After that was some more songs they'd done on Shokura, Kanashimi Blue, MAGMA and Monster. Kishi and Jin sang Ai ni tsuite and tried to fanservice but were too embarrassed. And then Keep It Up happened. As you may know the lyrics to the song are delightfully inappropriate and it was the perfect segue for Genki's solo Hey Girl. Genki performed it so cutely and gave it his all but the lyrics are so awfully misogynistic I couldn't help but laugh. I assume by the way he pointed at the audience whilst singing sexist and offensive things that he has completely misunderstood the song. They finished up with 3 very energetic songs, Beat Line, Great 5 and Power of Run. Kishi was very excited and hyped up at this point and was aggressively grabbing Jiguiwa, I assume for fanservice purposes. They looked a little concerned. The last song they did was Yuuki 100% and they brought SixTONES on. I thought it was a little weird that they didn't get Sho and Kai out and that Ren never showed up...but SixTONES were having loads of fun dancing and messing with the chibi Jrs. Juri was wearing Kishi's jacket and moneky ears and using a cane to pretend to be an old man. Everyone was laughing at him apart from Kishi who didn't seem to notice. When he finally did notice he laughed the hardest of everybody.

Of course there was the obligatory encore, the one that's gonna happen anyway regardless of whether you call for it. We did call for it though, well we called for PU RIN SU but when the curtain went up there were six people there! Ren had made it in time and they did Summer Station. The audience (including my usually calm self) were screaming so loudly and I couldn't see well but Genki sounded choked up. I later read on twitter that he had been crying. When that was over we started the Prince call again and this time it was genuine, we didn't want it to end. Up until then their shows had only had one encore and after quite a while they finally came out again. They seemed really happy and asked us what song they should do and Kishi was like "They're just saying Waaaaa!" So they did Katsunda WIN! again and everyone was satisfied and there was a polite round of applause before we all left.

Even though the set list wasn't to my taste it was one of the best shows I've been to for a while and not just because Kishi was there. After an unsure start the boys had lots of energy and put on a great performance. Jinguji and Genki especially were very attentive with fanservice and tried to high five as many people as they could. Kishi on the other hand is not good at that stuff and would just run down the aisle with his hand out and you could touch him if you wanted. He doesn't look at the audience much and he didn't even come over to my section (I was too far away to touch him anyway) but it's cool, I get it.

In conclusion, amazing show!
