What is Ren and Yuta’s relationship?
Ren: What kind of a relationship is it?
Kishi: Thread, thread!
Ren: Thread?
Kishi: Yeah like “You’re the vertical thread and I’m the horizontal thread” kind of thing.
Ren: Ahahahaha! You mean we’re woven together?
Kishi: Yeah, that’s right.
Ren: OK then Yuta can be the vertical thread and I’ll be the horizontal thread.
Kishi: OK
Ren: That means if we combine our power together we can make anything we want right?
Kishi: It’s a relationship were we can make anything together. This year we ate dinner together a lot right?
Ren: Yeah you came to my house a lot didn’t you? I was always asking you “What are you doing tonight?” and ended up inviting you over.
Kishi: Recently you made me Genghis Kahn (barbecued mutton).
Ren: It wasn’t Genghis Kahn it was sam gyeop sal (grilled pork belly).
Kishi: Oh yeah, sam gyeop sal (laugh). It was the first time in my life that I’d eaten sam gyeop sal.
Ren: Really?
Kishi: Yeah. Ren said “I learned how to cook this in Korea, so please try some”. Now I don’t need to go to Korea.
Ren: Hahahaha. Well I did try to recreate the authentic Korean flavour. That was about 2 weeks ago right? Next I’ll go to Yuta’s house. You said you’d invite me but you haven’t yet.
Kishi: Sorry…umm…
Ren: I’ve only been once before and that was just a quick visit so next time I want to properly eat dinner there.
Kishi: When you come I’ll get us some…umm…take-out gyeop sal.
Ren: Take-out (laugh).
Kishi: But actually yeah, I do go to Ren’s house way more often.
Ren: But no matter how late it is Yuta always goes back to his own place. That’s a mystery to me.
Kishi: It’s impossible, I can’t stay at other people’s houses.
Ren: But it would be so much easier if you stayed~
Kishi: It’s impossible.
Ren: I’ve never met anyone like that before.
Kishi: I don’t think I’ve stayed over at anyone’s house this year.
Ren: He’ll suddenly go home at 6 in the morning.
Kishi: Yep even at 6 in the morning I’ll go home.
Ren: I really don’t understand it.
Kishi: I wonder why that is? I don’t mind sleeping with you at all. When we’re on tour as well I seem like I’m about to go home.
Ren: You suddenly start gathering your belongings together (laugh). Do you just want to go back to your own house?
Kishi: Yeah.
Ren: So it seems like you shouldn’t have a problem with staying. If it was me, I’d think it was too much trouble to go home.
Kishi: Right? I want to stay but it’s like a voice from above commands me…
Ren: A voice from above (laugh). Well anyway, invite me to your house.
Kishi: I will! What shall we do next year? (Speaking like a gyaru) We should have gyeop sal right? Gyeop sal vol. 2.
Ren: You can make that really quickly (laugh). This year we had lots of parties right? Sam gyeop sal pa, tako pa, nabe pa. We’ve mastered all the basic parties. We also just went out for regular meals.
Kishi: You could say we were “party people” (paripi).
Ren: Ahahaha, we’re running out of “pa” to try.
Kishi: We had a game party too.
Ren: We did!
Kishi: We’ve attacked all the available parties huh~
Ren: Attacked~ (laugh)
Kishi: Let’s have lots of parties in 2019 too!
Ren: Yeah let’s do it!
