Ren: We have to praise each other?

Kishi: There’s nothing to praise about Ren.

Ren: That’s what I should say about you! Ah, you suit short hair!

Kishi: I can’t deny that.

Ren: Also your ears are small.

Kishi: That’s not a compliment! Ren is good looking. He has no imperfections on his face. I wonder how it would feel to have a face like Ren’s.

Ren: It’s tough actually.

Kishi: It’s tough? How? Are you too popular?

Ren: No, that’s not what I meant. It’s like, you know…actually never mind (laugh).

Kishi: I guess good looking guys have troubles just by being good looking. I wish I could say that, that I’m troubled by being too good looking. But it’s not just his looks, Ren is a good guy on the inside too. He’s flawless. If I had to say something that wasn’t so flawless…

Ren: Not so flawless? (laugh) Are you going to say something bad about me?

Kishi: His not so flawless point is that is that he’s always bothering me and sometimes it gets a bit much, sometimes I get a little tired of it.

Ren: Ahaha

Kishi: It’s fine if you want to bother me but when you go overboard…

Ren: That’s true, at first I was too much.

Kishi: How about now?

Ren: Well compared with before it’s not so much…because like the fans want me to do it.

Kishi: So it makes it more difficult to interact.

Ren: If people are looking for it then it makes me cool off. It’s just that, conversely, Yuta now comes over to me so I pull away.

Kishi: You’re so contrary!



Ren: Well anyway, I just like being with Yuta. You’re funny and your amount of idiocy is just right.

Kishi: I just want to say that I’m not an idiot. I’ve realized recently that I might actually be smart.

Ren: Yuta is very forgetful. The other day I messaged him to ask if this particular restaurant was ok for dinner and he suddenly phoned me and was like “Ren, sorry, I’m at the salon”. He doesn’t check his schedule. And we’d made arrangements to eat that same day, it wasn’t like it was a week before! At least remember one day’s schedule!

Kishi: Can I just say, I appreciate your kindness for making the reservation. Where can I buy that kind of kindness.

Ren: Ahaha, after that Yuta said he’d treat me to anything I wanted. I was like “Anything? Really?” and he said “Yeah” so I want to go for something super expensive! Crab! Crab broth!

Kishi: It’s not good to say that in front of the fans!

Ren: Ahaha I want to eat crab (laugh).

Kishi: I actually have a crab restaurant I’d recommend.

Ren: No, no, I’ll choose the restaurant.

Kishi: When we go to eat it’s usually Ren that makes the reservations. That’s a good thing about him.

Ren: If I leave it to Kishi kun we’ll end up in a weird place.

Kishi: No I actually know one. I know a restaurant that (Barack) Obama san went to one time.

Ren: Ahaha, ok then let’s go to this restaurant that you recommend next time.

Kishi: Shall I show you the flavor that Obama san once enjoyed? Also Ren always bigs me up in private too. Like to his friends, he’ll tell them I’m “a fun guy”. He talks about me in his private variety show.

Ren: Private variety show?

Kishi: Yeah, not work but you say nice things about me in your private variety show.

Ren: That’s really funny (laugh). But yeah I do tell my friends you’re a good guy. I’m promoting you.

Kishi: In terms of work I like how Ren thinks about his job. He always understands his role and he’s very smart. He’s more reliable than me (laugh). I often ask for his opinion on things.

Ren: I ask Yuta lots of things too. I’m the one that relies on him.

Kishi: Giving and receiving…

Ren: Relying on and being relied upon.

Kishi: That’s not a bad relationship right?

Ren: But it’s not good either? (laugh)

Kishi: No, it is good! Also I think it’s amazing how you can read the cue cards so smoothly. Simply put, he’s talented at reading cue cards.

Ren: I just read them normally.

Kishi: I can’t even read short lines well but Ren can read off really long lines no problem. Do you have any tips?

Ren: No, I don’t really try to do it.

Kishi: You don’t actually get them the day before and read them at home first do you?

Ren: To get the cue cards the day before I would have to be a staff member (laugh). Kishi is like this but he’s amazing at singing and dancing. And he’s really funny when he talks.

Kishi: Haven’t you realized? Recently my funniness is only recognized by my followers…basically only you laugh.

Ren: It’s just my sense of humor (laugh). Recently when we were filming for a show we were discussing news from the first half of the year, Yuta said “I learned how to read a map” and was trying to explain but nobody understood what he was talking about.

Kishi: It went really quiet. I was met with silence from all these important entertainers.

Ren: Karube Shinichi san…

Kishi: Go Hiromi san…

Ren: Kato Ayaka san. Everyone was so confused and seeing Yuta desperately try to explain was really funny.

Kishi: I hope Ren never stops finding me funny.

❤️Hirano Sho x Jinguju Yuta💙

Jinguji: Whilst we were recording our song I was looking at Sho from behind. I thought his back looked really big.

Sho: That’s not a compliment. Can’t you say it was broad?

Jinguji: It was just really big. It made me feel like I wanted to follow you. It’s definitely cool for a guy to have a large back. You can look good in any clothes, even suits.

Sho: That’s true. I’m told I suit tight fitting clothes so if I didn’t have muscles they’d be too baggy. It’s good to be stocky. Jin’s hairstyle is cool! You’re manly so you suit either long or short hair.

Jinguji: I’ve just had my hair cut. Feel the back.

Sho: (touches the shaved part at the back of Jin’s head) Now that I’ve starting touching it I’m going to want to touch it all day.

Jinguji: It’s really prickly right? (laugh). Sho said he wants to cut his hair short too right?

Sho: I’ve decided to cut it short once I’ve finished filming the drama. I want to cut it a little bit shorter than Jin’s.

Jinguji: When you have short hair it’s seriously easy. It only took me 30 seconds to dry it this morning. It gives me a refreshed feel before we debut. Let’s talk about our personalities as well, not just our appearances. The thing that’s great about Sho is his talent for entertainment. Just yesterday he wore weird shoes to entertain us all. It must have been to entertain us all because they had little wheels attached.

Sho: Weird?

Jinguji: Honestly, it was weird. You kept rolling around on the little wheels like “wheeee!”

Sho: I was zooming around the TV studio.

Jinguji: You’re an entertainer that makes sure everyone has fun right?

Sho: Yeah…I totally chose them to amuse everyone…

Jinguji: Don’t tell me they’re your favourite shoes?

Sho: (absentmindedly) They’re my favourite shoes.

Jinguji: I’ve never seen them before.

Sho: I only bought them a few days ago (laugh). I didn’t want to have to walk to the filming site so I thought I would roll there instead.

Jinguji: Those are kid’s shoes.

Sho: Adults wear them too!

Jinguji: I love this childish side to you. You’ll try anything. You’re full of curiosity!

Sho: Jin’s good point is…(narrows his eyes and squints at Jinguji) he often sends me mails. He sends me things like “I watched Hanahare ep 2, it was interesting” or “I know you’re filming late tonight but try your best” or “do your best tomorrow as well”.

Jinguji: I’m going to watch it tonight as well (the interview took place on a Tuesday so Hanahare was on that night) I like Haruto’s incompetence. He tries to make himself look good but actually he’s weak.

Sho: That’s right.

Jinguji: I think that’s really interesting

Sho: Really? That makes me happy!

Jinguji: I wonder if everyone else is watching? I get the feeling that Kishi kun isn’t (laugh). Ren probably watches nonchalantly.

Sho: Watching nonchalantly (laugh).

Jinguji: He hasn’t given you any feedback has he?

Sho: Only Jin and Kaito have given me feedback. Jin is a very thoughtful person.

Jinguji: It might be an obsession of mine.

Sho: In terms of work Jin’s amazing point is his sparkle.

Jinguji: Well I’m an idol, doesn’t everyone sparkle?

Sho: You’re good at keeping your smile (laugh) Your sparkly smile is amazing. I can never fake smiles. I find laughing awkward so I can never laugh during magazine shoots. If I don’t find something funny I can’t laugh.

Jinguji: But it’s our job (laugh)

Sho: I know, I know. It’s just that I should be used to having my picture taken right now but I just can’t do it (laugh).

Jinguji: Even though you’ve done it so many times (laugh)

Sho: Even if I force myself to laugh I won’t look happy.

Jinguji: How can you get better? I have no idea!

Sho: Like this? (pushes the corners of his mouth up into a smile).

Jinguji: Scary, your eyes aren’t smiling at all. You have to go a bit over the top (shows an example of his smile).

Sho: Jin has an idol smile. It has stability.

Jinguji: But conversely, I always have the same smile. I don’t like to say this but I’m told that I’m cooler in real life (laugh).

Sho: That’s true, we’re often told that our faces look smaller and we’re cooler in real life.

Jinguji: But imagine if it was the other way around, and people told us we were much uglier than in the magazines. That would be a shock! In real life there’s no editing or retouching or anything (laugh). Sho is good at self-production. When we do concerts etc. he’s good at thinking about how to make himself look cool and show his best side. He’s been cultivating it since he was a child. He can’t smile though (laugh).

Sho: I didn’t do concerts when I was a kid but I did do dance.

Jinguji: You’re good at making yourself stand out without messing up the overall choreography. You can put your own spin on it and show your own personality. Kishi kun is too over the top! (laugh) His entire personality shows through but Sho is good at controlling it.

Sho: All I do is take the choreography we’re given and change the speed of it. I don’t really think it through before I move, it just kind of happens.

Jinguji: You’ve been cultivating it after all.

Kaito: We have to praise each other…The thing that is amazing about Genki kun is that he has a stable character. It’s amazing that he’s unshakeable. He says himself that he’s cute on TV shows on stuff.

Genki: I only say that I’m cute to help everyone else to look cool.

Kaito: You’re good at making up excuses.

Genki: But like, Johnny’s are generally cool right? So if there’s this weird character like me in the middle of it all then it reflects well for the others. They look cooler and more sparkly. I want everyone to shine for the sake of the group. Even if you hate me, please don’t hate other King & Prince members.

Kaito: I don’t really get it but thanks I guess.

Genki: I really do love everyone, don’t I Kaito?

Kaito: Yes, yes. I can feel your love.

Genki: Who do you love the most Kaito?

Kaito: I love Genki kun the most, of course.

Genki: I’m happy! So what do you like about me?

Kaito (looking at Genki making a cute pose for him) It’s this. You really go all out for your character. You really are cute. You even cry in private.

Genki: I don’t cry!

Kaito: You got all teary eyed. When we were doing a play Genki kun made arrangements to go for dinner with Miyanii (Miyachika Kaito). So Shin chan, Sho, Jin and I jokingly said “Shall we go for dinner together then?” Genki kun got all teary and was like “Why do you only go for dinner when I’m not there?”

Genki: That’s because I always invite you guys to go for dinner with me and you always refuse. That day I had already made arrangements with Miyachika way in advance so Shintaro said “Since Genki can’t go today, the rest of us should go for dinner.” I cried alone in the dressing room. No one cheered me up…

Kaito: You were really sulking. That naïve side of you is really cute too.

Genki: Is there anything other than cute?

Kaito: Ah recently Genki kun has suddenly started wearing his hair back and he looks more manly. I told you it looked good right?

Genki: You did say that but I also felt like changing my hairstyle. I want to have a hairstyle like Harry Styles. But I need to think about the timing. Once we release our CD we’ll be on TV a lot and I want to make it easy for people to remember us. Maybe I’ll change it once it calms down a bit. I have the length I just want to get more volume. I’m aiming for the “Iwaprio” look (Iwahashi + DiCaprio).

Kaito: I have no idea what you’re aiming for. How far are you planning to go? (laugh).

Genki: I’m on the warpath, aiming to conquer the world! Next, Kaito’s good points. In private Kaito is really slovenly. I take care of him so much it’s almost like I’m his butler…

Kaito: You do take care of me.

Genki: But he gives me lots of advice about dancing and performance. I really respect his dance level.

Kaito: If we’re talking about work the comments that Genki makes at concerts etc. have a high hit ratio! Genki just has to say one word and the audience gets really excited. The level is about the same as a hit to 2nd base although Kishi kun is the one who hits homeruns. He either hits a homerun or gets 3 strikes, it’s either 100 or 0 with him. I’m like the first batter.

Genki: Suicide Squad.

Kaito: I attack head on right from the start but sometimes I don’t have any motivation and I fail a lot. My hit ratio is low (laugh). But everyone always follows up and covers for me.

Genki: Kaito is still a teenager so I think this is the time when you should do the things you like. If I can help you I will, so do the things you want to do. When I was your age I was able to do the things I liked and senpai helped me so I want to repay that to the people around me and the closest person who I can help is Kaito.

Kaito: Genki kun is really such a kind guy. He always looks out for me.

Genki: When there’s a little brother type person like Kaito around I want to give them attention.

Kaito: Thank you for giving me attention. If Genki kun says let’s eat dinner at home, I’d say no let’s eat out, I want ramen and he’d say ok and go with me. Genki kun is no.1 in my ranking of people who will indulge my selfish requests!

Genki: You mean I’m the no.1 person you take advantage of (laugh).

Kaito: No, no, no. The ranking is of people who indulge me, people who are nice to me.

Genki: Well, you’re cute so I forgive you. (with a sad face) It’s a little sad that Kaito is gradually becoming an adult. I’m worried that one day he’ll say “Oi!” to me in a scary way.

Kaito: That won’t happen (laugh). Our relationship will always be the same.
