Kimi ni Todoke jmovie! Um, live-action Sawako may have been so shy and naive that she appeared to be...sloow. Nonetheless, the movie is charming in its own way. The casting is pretty good. Mikako Tabe as Sawako is perfect because of her naturally scary face. Haruma Miura as Kazehaya was decent; maybe a tad too pretty than 'fresh'. The actor who plays Ryu appears too old to be in high school, but he is still a cool character. The movie sticks pretty closely to the manga and follows Sawako as she makes friends with Yano-chin and Yoshida. It also covers her rivalry with Kurumi which is thankfully, only around ten minutes before moving on. And of course, her love/friendship with Kazehaya is the main focus. There are only a few small original additions to the movie. One cute addition is the backstory with Sawako's father. And the final scene is an original ending to wrap up the movie. ~7/10 rating~ There's an extreme lack of sparkles and bubbles. And much of the manga's humor seems to be cut for timing. But for fans, it was a good interpretation of the original story.

And anime...
Tegami Bachi: REVERSE 24! Almost the end. Maka comes to protect the city's residents while the Bees, Niche & her sister fight the Cabernet (yes, still a silly name for an insect creature). While celebrating a short victory, the bad guy sacrifices himself to revive the creature. And Noir takes a fatal blow for Lag.

Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi OAD! The prequel to the tv series, I guess. This covers the main characters' relationship in high school. Episode 0 is basically this. Boy sees older boy pick up abandoned kitten on the street. Boy stalks boy via library books. Boy confesses to boy. Boy and boy take part in smutty action on the first date and later in the library. Boy wakes up from the dream/flashback. There's twinkle-twinkle music, soft lighting and excessive blushing. While the set-up isn't very interesting, Shungiku Nakamura's ukes are humorously spastic. As far as animation production? On par with Junjou Romantica's with a tiny upgrade in overall visual look.
