Kokuhaku jmovie! is a tale of confessions. It is fairly disturbing, depressing and slightly violent, but it is an excellent movie. It starts off with a young high school teacher telling her class that two of their classmates were responsible for the death of her four year old child. She then says that she will not prosecute them through the justice system, since they are minors and will get off with a light sentence. She tells them that she will make them understand the importance of life through well, something that would spoil the movie. This sets the audience up for a tale of redemption, but you soon realize that the teacher has revenge in mind. It relies on the cruelty of other students, and the unstable mentality of the two students themselves. The students then tell the tale from their perspective, and you see their downward spiral. One descends into madness. The other thinks he has outsmarted everyone until the teacher finds his weakness. The movie had a variety of bgm, cgi and an overall simple & elegant production. The actors were very good, too. Definitely might want a pick-me-up after this.
